Valparaiso Fire Department
The City of Valparaiso Fire Department is a full-service, career fire department proudly operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our dedicated personnel provide rapid, all-hazard response to a wide range of emergencies, including structure fires, medical calls, rescues, hazardous conditions, and complex incidents affecting the City of Valparaiso and surrounding communities.
We are equally committed to fire prevention, public education, and proactive community engagement. Through our Fire Prevention Program, we partner with local schools and offer safety education to residents of all ages, reinforcing our department’s mission of service, preparedness, and protection.
With a Lieutenant, Driver Engineer, and Firefighters assigned to each shift, our team operates with a strong focus on teamwork, professionalism, and accountability. Our personnel represent a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences, which brings strength, innovation, and adaptability to every response and initiative.
