Boundary Drop Response Model

NICEVILLE, Fla. -- Three emergency agencies are coming together to create a safer south Okaloosa County.

Starting Friday, the Niceville, East Niceville and Valparaiso Fire Departments will begin using what's called a "boundary drop response model."

That means the closest available unit will respond to emergencies, regardless of the jurisdiction it's in. This should mean an improvement in emergency response times.
