Elder Services of Okaloosa County has served the county’s elderly and handicapped population since 1971. We are dedicated to preserving the dignity and independence of our clients by providing services which assist individuals to remain in the preferred setting of their home. Our priority is acting on behalf of the at-risk, frail adults who feel they no longer have a voice.
Services may include Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, and our locally funded Meals on Wheels Program. Our in-home services include Companionship, Counseling, Homemaking and Respite for caregivers. Elder Services is the designed Lead Agency for the Community Care for the Elderly Program which includes the Alzheimer's Disease Initiative and Home Care for the Elderly Programs.
At the Valparaiso Senior Center, the facility offers a congregate setting for aging participants to engage in socialization, activities and share a hot, noon-time meal. Activities include bingo, cornhole, cards, dominoes, and speakers.
